![]() ![]() ![]() My HCG results last week went from 56,000 to 73,000 in 2 days and my doctor was over the moon I was confused as to why it didn’t double and that’s why she explained to me that it doesn’t when it’s that high. My doctor ensured me it would not double but more than increase significantly. I had more HCG blood test done and awaiting on that test to come back to see if my numbers have increased significantly 2 days after my 127,000 result. I can’t expect to have a number that’s 73,000 on a Monday and then the Wednesday it goes up to 146,000. This is why I ain’t too concerned about the doubling numbers. When you get to around the 8-10 week mark they reach a peak and then get lower. My numbers are on the higher end of the scale and soon they’ll start to level out and won’t double at all. This is what the doctor and ultrasound tech told me plus a simple google research. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your physician or 911 immediately.& numbers are supposed to double at the beginning when they get to a certain point (over 6000) it takes more to double and past a certain point it can take more than 5 days to double. My first u/s was at 5w3d we saw a sac so i am nervous about the 2nd u/s feb 3 hoping we see a heartbeat. From the levels, they are assuming you are 6weeks, i would guess mayb that is when the baby stopped growing(or maybe u ovulated late) bcuz you should be 7w3d, guessing, My lmp was dec 12th and i will be 7 weeks 2mrw. You should go back for repeat u/s week later to see if the baby has grown and if there is a heartbeat, if the baby has not grown and there is still no heartbeat, it is possible that the baby died, only was to guess the age of the baby is for them to measure the sac/baby. Again every woman is different on how her endocrine system responds to things, for some women the placenta may recognize it soon and levels start dropping. However, when there is a heartbeat, it is important to ensure that it is normal. Thats bcuz the placenta is sending signals that there is a baby in it and sometimes it takes the placenta a while to detect the baby has died, that is why some women see a heartbeat at 6w and go back for 12 w appt and the baby died at 7 w but they still have symptoms, thats bcuz the placenta is still sending signals. When there is no heartbeat at 6 week, it is obvious to worry about fetal health. Your hcg levels will rise, even if there is a baby and it is dead. Although some women bleed during first trimester, its not a good thing to be bleeding though. Sometimes it is not detected that early and can appear later. Every woman is different, the heart actually starts functioning at 4 weeks and can be detected at 6 weeks. I am so sorry you are going threw this, and its hard to understand why these things happen, especially if we never experienced it b4. ![]()
